Interesting, I saw the festival is in the second half of June. Glastonbury is already sold out. If it´s true I hope Paul doesn´t go to more festivals which are already sold out. That would be very frustrating for us fans who are waiting for Paul to come to Europe.

That would be great news for Paul but terrible for us. Almost impossible to get hold of a ticket. :-(

If he´s doing Glastonbury then it would mean that it would be in the middle of a European tour.

Don´t mean to rattle European friends - but I thought/think, the tour will begin in US - that seems a bit early to move across the pond. The Hangout festival is end of May. Hope we all get to see a show.

Nick from Widnes England writes:

Yes the Festival is sold out. However BBC TV in the UK Broadcast the best of all the different stages and headlining acts accross BBC 2 BBC 3 and BBC 4 on its Digital Networks, available via Free View, Virgin Media and Sky.

Therefore Paul Simon at Glastonbury will get a wider audience and great exposure.

As yet its however not official that Paul is going yet.

Wait and see.

---I´m just glad that we are Blessed to get 6 UK concerts in great venues -- PS would probably get the awful afternoon slot at Glastonbury that Neil Diamond had in 2008. Three nights camped in a muddy / flooded / smelly field in Somerset does not appeal. Must be getting Old.....or sensible....
Simon.

The Glastonbury founder has perhaps hinted that Paul Simon may indeed be playing the "legends" slot at Glastonbury this year.

I think that is a strong possibilty. In 2008 Paul appeared at the Cornbury Festival in Oxfordshire which I attended. It was good to see him at an outdoor venue. He is also headlining at the Hangout Festival in Alabama in May: http://hangoutmusicfest.com/lineup/

I hope he does appear as it will ensure we get a good quality recording of the show from BBC who always televise the entire festival and broadcast it on the radio.
