I guess this kinda brings a whole new meaning to, "You gotta fill out a form first, and then you wait in the line" ha ha ha.

When I heard the clip from The Afterlife, it reminded me of a Saturday Night Live sketch from 1977 where people who had near-death experiences were remembering what they saw of the afterlife. They were all made to take a number and wait. I couldn´t find the clip, but it was a short film by Tom Schiller. I know that Paul Simon has always been tight with the SNL crowd, so I wondered if that was what inspired his song.

well, the idea is also in a film called beetejuice, starring micheal keaton (and a very funny film) so its not exactly an original idea, but it depends what Paul does with it

okay, I am going to resist the temptation to get this song ahead of time, so there is at least one song that will be new to me when I buy the album!

| Hehe...yeah I also think I should stop now...and wait till the CD arrives. But on the other hand, it´s hard to wait, isn´t it?
I don´t want to buy a CD then, without any new song ;)

Yeah I really wonder a little bit about this strategy - I mean, are the radio stations allowed to play the songs at the moment? I guess yes. But I never heard of an album which songs have been played on the radio months before it´s release...

I really wish that something would catch fire with this, and they´d decide to release it earlier! Now that would be a switch, eh?
