 | After Paul moved his back catalogue over to Sony/Legacy last year, it was announced that they will be re-releasing all his back albums with added material based on the 2004 remasters.
There´s very little information out as yet, but I did find a listing on the German Amazon site for a release of Graceland. There´s no art or track listing, just a release date of March 25th. http://www.amazon.de/Graceland-Paul-Simon/dp/B004K BSQBA/ No word yet on the other albums, but it gives us some idea of the timing.

 | I found some more listings for the upcoming re-releases. This time the UK site Play.com is listing about 5 of the albums for release on May 2nd.

I´m not sure if the German date is wrong or there really be such a time difference, but we´ll see. |

 | MOG, I think they are just rehashing the press release, which we all agreed was a little vague. Hope they´re right! |

Hopefully it won´t be long until we find out which DVDs they´re releasing. |

 | I noticed in Tower Records which used to have a lot of PS albums just has an S&G section with some of their albums, one of PS greatest hits and no solo PS. Harper on the other hand has his own section! |

 | Best Buy in the US are listing some of the solo albums for re-release on April 12th, the same day SBOSW is released.

We´ll have to see what different bonus tracks are on the new CDs, because otherwise there´s not much point in buying them again. |

 | This is kind of interesting. Amazon.com have added quite a few of the early albums for re-release on April 12th, same day as the SBOSW. They´ve added track listings, which for the most part are exactly the same as the 2004 re-releases. The information could be wrong, but if not there´s little reason to buy any of those albums again.
What is interesting is the Live Rhymin CD look set to be released with two additional tracks: Kodachrome and Something So Right.

 | Live Rhymin sounds interesting.
Well, it is clear why they can not release any other extra tracks - there do not exist any!
Paul has not written so many songs in his career (like Bruce Springsteen or Dylan) - but on the other side, nearly all of his songs are great.
They could only add some more obscure ´early in progress´ versions, but I guess at some point it just gets unserious and the quality of these songs is too bad or the differences to the original are minor.
Especially for the last albums (since The Capeman), you see that Paul has not written any song that he has not released. The YTO extra tracks are more a joke

 | I wish Paul would release a new studio version of the song "You´re The One," seeing as how he performs it differently for concerts. The dream part would sound great with a sitar. Basically a version similar to his 2006 performance on October 24th in Upper Darby, PA. I was expecting him to do that for "iTunes Originals" but he didn´t. |

 | Damn. I was hoping they would release more than just two extra tracks on Live Rhymin |
