If it would be a sort of returning to roots type album like The Everly Brothers´ "Songs Our Daddy Taught Us" I would Love it. And if it would be simple covers like that I´m sure it wouldn´t take up too much of Paul´s time. He might even find a little inspiration for new songs from it.

We need to come in contact with their close friends...you know, people which are not famous and do not have a neighbourhood detection alarm system, and are nice enough to make a copy of their mp3 list.

hm...Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, Lorne Michaels, Art Garfunkel, Chris Dodd, Philip Glass... ah I guess that will not work out well.


BTW: Do you really think they recorded a mp3? I mean, like putting your microphone into your notebook, click on record and ´save file as mp3´ ... :-) 160kbps...ah thats too big for a christmas card, save it at a 80kbps compression.

But lets face it, in 20 years or so we have the chance to see the release of the first real "Paul Simon and Family" Christmas album.

Without all those elaborate and odd compositions... ;-)


BTW: Art Garfunkel still has a chance to return on stage according to Edie Brickell: "Paul can just harmonize with everybody ... His voice sounds so gorgeous, he makes everybody sound good." ;-)

Her voice is so clear on the youtube video of ´Let it Slide´ which is one you´ve ploaded, Brenda.

I did wonder why it was getting a lot of hits all of a sudden. I am still waiting on her album to arrive. {it was mailed 7thJan} Did you have a good Australia Day?
