 | This is another video of Paul signing autographs. It must get irksome for someone as private as he is to be accosted outside of every doorway he enters. You get the feeling that guitar scratch plate is just going to be auctioned off on ebay. Not a true fan in other words. What is GTV by thttp://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtube_gdata _player&v=7XnbeOKSHEUhe way?

 | I get the same feeling, and it´s got to be tough trying to deal with a mix of real fans just trying to say thank you and a group of people trying to cash in on his success. I do hope one day that I get the chance to meet Paul though. |

 | Wow, I felt uncomfortable watching that! Paul was very nice to sign their stuff though. |

 | You can also look at it from the other side :) Paul is still so hot that people want his autograph. Paul dealt fine with the situation and I think the fans weren´t that bad. Paul was right about signing only one item per person.
Paul is very kind to his fans, I was very lucky to meet him in person, got his signature and had a little chat with him.

 | I think you can see his brother behind him, when they get out of the door. Am I right? |

 | Nick from Widnes England writes:
I met Art Garfunkel in Liverpool England when he toured his solo album "Everything Waits To Get Noticed" in 2003.
Art was supported by Mia Sharp and Buddy Mondlock. Part of the CD was made up of songs based around Art´s Prose Poetry. So it was a treat to hear these gems come to life.
Anyhow after the show which took place at the Royal Philamonic Hall Liverpool, (Where during his only British tour the late Buddy Holly performed); I got Mia and Buddy´s cds and their autographs. Then on their advice I went to the stage door and met Mr G.
Art kindly signed my poster and was very kind. I was with my Mum and went dumb struck to meet my hero.
Whilst quing up I said to my Mum "He´s not that tall" oops He heard and comented on this. Then put his arm on my shoulder and said "Do not let the fame get in the way." Mum told Art I was too excited to talk.
I wanted to tell Mr G I was from Widnes where Paul wrote Homeward Bound I was too nervous. (Unusual for those who read my forum messages) I could not speak. But on the way home in the car i rang everyone I knew and toldd them I met Art Garfunkel and got his Autograph.
The poster is now framed along with the newspaper review of the concert together with the ticket stub and photo of Simon and Garfunkel.
Its my prise posesion. No it will nebver go on Ebay. I respect the artist too much.
Selling autographs on line for profit is wrong it spoils the true fans getting autographs of their hereos. Why beacuse some hate to sign only to find the signature on Ebay or other sites for fiancial gain.
Now I need Paul Simon´s autograph. No I will not buy a copy off the internet. I like to get it signed in the person if thats possible then I can meet my hero.

 | Any idea who the woman is? The man is Eddie for sure.
Am always surprised he signs the guitars--surely he (or his management) knows they get sold on line. |

 | Is that the way he usually acts for those who have got autographs? Not
left handed either. |

 | well, I think these guys are out there working, and Paul probably knows they are working, after all they hung out for a few hours on what looks like a pretty cold night. So its a little bit of trickle down economy that Paul and others probably tolerate. After all Paul, in addition to being a great singer songwriter, is also an economic engine (though you might not know it by the capeman) So his singing a few guitars that he knows will end up on Ebay is probably a case of live and let live. |
