I think the Official Site should look to do things that the fansites can´t do.

For instance they could send a camera to some of these events Paul keeps appearing at and put some good quality streaming footage on there.

There must be unreleased footage in the archives they could show on there. Even if the Live Rhymin DVD is a long way off they could at least put a couple of song clips on there.

Apart from that, all we ask is that there is regular news updates! (I am dreaming now)

A Paul Simon blog is out of he question I expect.

the Old site used to have regular video footage eg when PS performed Mrs Robinson at a baseball function

Bodo, I think he means a blog written by PS. I wouldn´t hold my breath. Of course you can always read my blog/site, which you´ve linked to. Also, you can follow it on Twitter for quick hits of news: http://twitter.com/#!/paulsimonweb

This site is leaving too? What a site
can do is look at James Taylor, he sends out videos, pre tickemaster offerings and is very involved. Most singers don´t want to do that, but I have great respect for him for taking out so much time for the fans. In fact,
half of that would be fine. Never heard of any one meeting Paul nor do
I know if he would anything to do with fans.

Agree with Bodo, Wis and Joey.
And don´t forget that in an official website it could be impossible to speak freely as we do here.

Yep. I´ve never felt the absence of Paul´s official site. Bodo´s site has everything a Paul Simon fan could want or need.

I Love this fan site. I have known, like many people here, the pre-Internet years when infos on Paul Simon were the rarest thing on earth and required high detective skills to be found if you were outside the USA.
We have now a worldwide network of independent ´spies´ - that´s precious. Let´s keep it that way, please (and again thanks to Bodo)
