should we as devoted fans buy the song for 0.99Euro from iTunesto send it up the charts? or do we download it free off the official site? or do we Surprise rolling stone with the number of fans PS has and download it as frequently as we can?

Questions for the angels I suppose!

It´s all good. The Facebook page now has nearly 20 members.

I have downloaded it for free and I will buy it for 69p (or less if I find it cheaper) during Christmas week.

If it gets released on CD single, I am going to order 10 and give them to friends and family for Christmas!

But thats somehow not in the context with the lyrics...or is it? ;-)

Anyway, none of my friends or family members would be happy with that. ;-)

I like the song, going around in my head all day. Telling my 10yo neice (who always scoffs at Paul Simon) it´s only for intelligent grownups and she wouldn´t understand it. I thinks it´s got great rhythm and sound and lyrics.

Just discovered Ping on itunes, and many artists have >50,000 followers i.e.Peter Gabriel and Beatles, but Paul Simon doesn´t seem to have a proper Artist page and not on Ping.

Anyone know about Ping, it may be a good way to promote the single and album when it comes out.

I think I´ll follow the Beatles to see how it works. They´ve got 89,000 followers in less than 2 weeks on iTunes. I can Ping on my iPod. Do you think Pauls management read this forum ? They should do this.

I would think a lot of people would not
want a Christmas album in March. To me,
it makes no difference.

The album is not a Christmas, just one song on it is - and thats why that is being released as a single.

At least 2 other albums had a Christmas related song on them.

for those who might be interested:
In the USA the single is released on CD for promotional use only. My copy is on ´Concordrecords´ / Universal Music Group International and I´ve found and bought it on Ebay

Yeah, you paid money for a CD someone got for free, and which is not allowed to be sold ;-) But hey, we are collectors

Hi Bodo, maybe I´m oldfashioned but I think I´m one of the guys who wants an original instead of a downloaded one. I´m also looking for an original of "Biko" instead one of Itunes. And yes, you are right we are collectors! ;-)

Single CD ? Bof...if you are really a collector, otherwise, it sounds like unnecessary expenses for you + for the environment (you burn a CD with a 3 minute song?) !
