 | Pardon if this has been covered - the threads on the new song have gotten pretty long.
Has anyone commented on the tie-in between Gates preaching setting up Simon´s lyrics.
Second verse: Gates on prisons, police, law enforcement. Simon: war, military, Iraq (okay, not an exact match, but still).
Last verse: Gates: travel, family. Simon: ´mom and dad´. Simon, being Simon, this is not just random sampling.
