 | I don´t like the song much either. It would be better, I think, if it had more instruments in the background instead of Rev. Gates. I think this distracts from the actual song. I will still buy the song though. |

 | I disagree, Rev Gates is one of the best parts of the song. It adds a certain epic flair to the sound. |

 | There´s a good write-up of the song on the website of the Telegraph newspaper in the UK: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/music/rockandpo pfeatures/8139940/Paul-Simon-Getting-Ready-For-Chr istmas-Day.html
Sadly, it also includes some potentially disappointing news: the album is set for May, according to them. Yikes.
It could be wrong, after all, but it´d be disappointing that it´s moved even further into 2011. It also says it´s released on Decca, which could be just in the UK or Europe, because it´s being released on Concord Records in the US. |

 | I noticed they removed "Questions For The Angels" from the iTunes store. Interesting. |

 | Great song - PS has such a great middle-of-the-range voice for upbeat songs, he doesn´t do enough of them imo - the only error occurs after the Pakistan verse in doubling the rythum guitar piece, they should have just played it once after that verse and then repeated only the last bar of it to lead into that beautiful guitar solo - the highlight is the rythum of the Mum and Dad verse and the arrangement underpinning it - Love this song |

 | Ha May....didn´t I say spring could mean May?
First it is fall 2010
Then spring 2011
then may 2011
how far can the go?
and for what reason?
It´s useless |

 | Nancy, your post is fine, the link on top is only the blog. Great to hear how excited the radio presenters are about the song, I hope it will get a lot of airplay.
I still think the new album will come out in March, the presenters of NPR talked about early spring and also Joey and Jose Maria talk at their site about March.

 | Well, after reading all your comments, I listened, and yes!, I really like it.
But then I still like ´play the game´ from Queen too, including all the weird synthesizer things. Outrageous, and Sure don´t feel like Love are my favorites on ´Surprise´ so maybe it is not so strange for me. |

 | I think Paul would agree with you Rob. I read somewhere that Sure Don´t Feel Like Love was his favorite song on Surprise. |
