There has finally been publicity surrounding Paul´s long-known move back to Sony. They´re going to be re-releasing the albums based on the 2004 remasters but with newly added bonus tracks. It also seems like Concert In The Park and even the Live Rhymin Simon will be coming to DVD. Full story here: http://www.americansongwriter.com/2010/11/massive-
paul-simon-reissue-campaign-coming-in-2011/

Apparently PaulSimon.com just switched to a Sony site too, although it seems to have crashed!

That´s great news! With the site switching, maybe they´ll update it and we´ll get some more news on the new album.

Oh boy...don´t tell me I will have to buy the whole thing again...

Fortunately this time, we might be able to download new bonus tracks on an individual basis through iTunes.

If the reissue is at a level that Legacy put for instance on the Miles Davis catalogue, then I might slate my WB boxset for the pawn shop !

They´ve got a holding page up on PaulSimon.com now. It includes a place to sign up for e-mails and a link to the Official Facebook page for Paul.

This is fantastic news. Concert In The Park AND the 1974 tour video, which I´ve known about for years, but have never seen. I wonder what new bonus tracks they are going to use? 2011 is gearing up to be an important year for Paul Simon.

So there will be "new" bonus tracks on the album again!?

How many copies of each album do they expect me to buy?

Oh, at least every fan-database member has to buy 10 new copies of all albums :)

Seriously, I do not think that we got many important bonus tracks with the LAST re-issue, so this time I expect only minor changes. The best of the worst of the worst.

my first reaction: ´how many times can they re-package, how many times can they expect me to buy?´ But you know what: yes I will!

From the wording in the article, I can´t tell whether or not they will release the Live Rhymin´ on DVD. Either way, though, it´s very exciting. I know that Sounds Of Silence surfaced from that show, but that´s the only one.

Yes, I agree with Bodo...I wonder what they can really pull out re: new bonus tracks.

Already in 2004, there was not much to offer for several albums, like Graceland & One-Trick Pony.

Yes, I expect the bonus features won´t excite much. I wonder what Surprise will have.

I´ll probably buy the CDs regardless, but I doubt I´ll buy any of the DVDs again if there´s nothing new and I already have them.
