 | I can´t recall if there were any winners from the States, but if so,have their discs arrived yet? As far as Bodo was told, they were being sent from New York-if I remember correctly.

 | Cher and Nancy. Did you already receive them?
I hope so. Well, it didn´t look like as if this guy was making a joke, he had his own business website...and a own promotion-website for this DVD. |

 | I wait until next Monday ok, then I contact him again if Cher or Nancy did not receive anything. I expect it could take up to 3-4 weeks for Europe. |

Maybe it was more work to print out all the adresses...and so he did not send them on the same day as he emailed me (Oct 19) |

 | Here is a link to a review of the dvd
http://www.popmatters.com/pm/review/132909-the-25t h-anniversary-rock-roll-hall-of-fame-concerts/
excerpts relating to Paul and S and G
"Simon takes the stage for `Me And Julio Down By The Schoolyardâ? and `You Can Call Me Alâ?, and he`s joined by Crosby and Nash for a truly lovely `Here Comes the Sunâ? before introducing Dion DiMucci, who like Lewis, Robinson, and Beck, reminds the crowd it`s not about the big names or the flash staging. It`s all about the spirit and the songs when he lets the lyric flow on `The Wandererâ?.
{dion is backed by Paul´s band and Paul and Mark harmonize}
and
"Art Garfunkel comes out to sing `The Sound of Silenceâ?, `The Boxerâ? and `Bridge Over Troubled Waterâ? with Simon and it`s another standout moment in the music. Forty-odd years on, and the blending of those voices still send a chill. "
Great dvd. S and G are in the bonus dvd performing Mrs Robinson/Not Fade away. Well worth the price if you were not one of the lucky winners. |

 | No answer....
I begin to feel a little bit nervous.
What would have been the sense of making a fake-offer? |

 | Ok, now he replied to my 2nd message.
DVDs have been send out 2 weeks ago.
Cher and Nancy, please let me know when you have received them. It is strange that it takes so long...
I would expect them now (after 2 weeks) in Europe too... |

 | It does seem a little unlikely that it would take 2 weeks+ for them to arrive at their American destinations. Here in Australia, something sent from within the country to almost anywhere else in the country will get there the following day...usually anyway. As you said Bodo-what would be gained by making this offer if it was fake? Log on as a guest to see everyone fretting over their missing dvd´s. Boggling the mind:-) It could just be the pre-Christmas post jam maybe. I still think they´ll arrive. |

 | I didn´t thought the post is so fast in Australia, it is a big and empty country. Will it also only take 1 day to Alice Springs fom Sydney?
Austria is pretty small, so letters usually arrive the next day.
Also letters or packages from Germany to Austria arrive usually within 2-3 days. The slowest postal service I know is the UK one. I order many things from there now (UK Pound is not worth much, tax is ´only´ 15% [do not laugh Americans ;-) ]. But usually it takes 14+ days to send something from the UK to Austria. Packages from the USA arrive within 10-14 days. (and it is a 2 1/2 hour flight to London) They must use steam-ships and horses at UK-postal-service ;-)

 | I buy stuff from Amazon USA and there are 2 frieght price options.
I use the cheaper cost option and they quote 3 - 6 weeks to arrive. In my experience it does usually end up taking 4 weeks. The fast option quotes 2 -4 weeks. |

 | Yeah,I actually got that from the horses mouth as it were Bodo. An Australia Post employee told me when I was considering using special overnight delivery on a package to save my money, because the normal mail would see it arrive the next day. As long as you get your letter in the post as early as possible, and definitely before 5pm it should arrive the next day. This was a good 10 years ago though and Australia Post has had it´s share of problems in recent times. Actually,I have had to wait for items to arrive at times, but it usually turns out to be tardiness on the behalf of the sender. |
