 | The Lady is Diana Krall. I have read an interview with her husband Elvis Costello a while ago, where he stated, that "Peace Like A River" is his favourite Paul Simon song. So maybe it was really a request from Diana Krall to perform this song. |

 | Elvis Costello performed the song at the Tribute to Paul Simon at the Montreal Jazz Festival in 2006. He did a great job.

It´s indeed great that Paul performed it. Hopefully we can see him sing it live in concert, maybe also in Europe.

 | there is pretty much a note for note transcription of Peace Like A River in Accent on Music´s Paul Simon transcribed book by Mark Hanson. Its not too easy to play for sure, drop d tuning. Elvis Costello isn´t really the guitarist for the job, from what I heard ( nor am I, I must admit) |

| It took me ages to work out that song. I´ve also seen and heard it played in an alternate tuning besides DGCFAD. I use the latter. That song requires a firm right hand picking attack. It wreaks havoc on my fingernails though:-( |

Does anyone have a video of Amos singing Nobody? That´s another absolute favorite which I never expected to hear live again. Hmm this bodes well for what will eventually emerge as a 2011 tour! |

 | It might not have being made private because of anything to do with Paul or this site. I noticed a few days ago there´s a pretty big "campaign" against Elvis Costello on the net by Israelis because he decided not to play there. There were bad comments on the video, presumably the OP was receiving messages. They´ve posted bad reviews on places like Amazon.
It´s such transparent behaviour but maybe the video owner had enough. |

| Could be copywrite issues Jon as he has not made any of the others private.I noticed last week the best video of Paul singing 25 years on Oprah was also made private after many,many views. I was lucky to have downloaded it as from past experience know how disappointing it is to have a video removed .I subcribe to his channel and commented on the removal . If I get a reply as to the reason will let you know. |

Hopefully he would share this video with us, maybe also only private. Peace Like A River is a really rare live performance, can´t really remember when he did it the last time (Either in the early 70´s or 1984?) |

| sorry guys, the first part of the last post seems to have got lost. I would just like to say I have downloaded "Peace Like A River on Real Player and would be more than happy to put on a cd and mail to anyone interested, Just contact me on [email protected] I remember a few months ago I made a video of photos of Paul and Art to the soundtrack of the Central Park version of The Boxer which was muted by you tube and yet when I re did it to the 1969 version ,no probs. |
