I realise that after the release of the new Paul Simon biography, that we might all be wary of anything to do with Bob Dylan, but I came across this piece called ´Bob Dylan and Paul Simon-Through The Years´. It´s actually pretty interesting and contained several pieces of info I didn´t know. Here´s the links for the first two parts. I hope the links work - http://www.examiner.com/bob-dylan-in-national/bob-

Thanks for the great article. I liked how they didn´t favorite either of the artists. Paul and Bob are extremely talented. I Love Paul´s voice in the video they linked of "Knockin´ On Heaven´s Door."

I agree both are extremely talented.

I think Bob lyrics have a more natural conversational feel than Paul´s. When listening they almost feel they have not been pre-written and are being made up as they are sung.

However, I thinks Pauls musical abilities are superior.

It was very interesting to experience the 1999 Bob Dylan Paul Simon concerts. The contrast between the 2 was like night and day. Dylans set was very loose and changed each of the 3 concerts. Pauls set was tight and controlled and didn´t change, but was way more rocking with those big Graceland/ROTS numbers.

The other difference I observed is how Dylans fans are more fanatical.

I enjoyed both sets very much. And I hadn´t purchased Time Out of Mind until after those concerts.

It was a very good (and successful) tour.

Indeed, the contrast between the two sets were immense.

Those who went there who were thinking about a nostalgic ´60 folkie evening could have been disappointed.
