Yeah,I take your point Helen. Might be time some words were reclaimed and used in their original context. Speaking of the censorship of song lyrics-only recently my nephew downloaded a copy of Money For Nothing by Dire Straits and when I mentioned the line with ´the little fa**ott´ he said ´there´s no such line´. I had a hard time convincing him that the song had been edited. The thing is,I don´t believe it was edited in the 80´s when it was released. Anyone else have clear memories of that? I´m positive even the video clip had the line intact. Regarding Late In The Evening-I think when Paul performed it with The Roots on...I´ve forgotten the name of the show??? Anyway,I think he left that word out there too.

Yes Ian he did drop the J word when performing with the Roots on the Jimmy Fallon show. Terrific version.

That was one of the first times I watched a full Jimmy Fallon episode. Now he´s my favorite late night personality.

I watched the episode with Paul naturally, but haven´t watched one since. I always liked Jimmy Fallon on SNL,but he was very nervous on that first episode(understandably)and it affected his performance a little I think. It was very brave, and a lovely thing to do,to have both Paul Simon and Steve Martin as his guests on the very first episode, given that neither is the drawcard they once were. I will watch another episode one of these days, now that the teething difficulties have passed.

At last I heard ´You can call me Al´ on this radio station. Listened to it till the end. I was part of an 80´s set. Anyway, new year and new hand-me-down phone from my hubby who upgraded. I worked out how to add it to my phone as a ringtone. It´s great as a ringtone. I´m trying to get the family to ring me while I´m shopping for maximum effect but they scoffed.
Also we got guitar hero for PS3 for the family, so hoping to download I Am A Rock and Sound of Silence from Playstation Network.
