 | I was just watching a video on "youtube" of a performance in Central Park (1981) There is several seconds of a guitarist in a red shirt, with (should length) long hair. He looks a lot like Al Stewart. Did Al play Central Park with Paul and Art?

 | No, AL did not play in the 1981 Central Park Concert. The guitarist in the red shirt was David Brown . He was introduced by Paul towards the end of the show. |

 | The funny thing that comes to my mind when I think of David Brown is that at the February 1983 stadium S&G show in Brisbane,Brown came out on stage dressed in knee length ug(sp) boots!! It had been a wicked hot day and the evening was similarly warm and those Eskimo boots were far from necessary. It looked pretty cool though(no pun intended),if a tad peculiar. Just something that stuck in my mind...Excellent guitarist though-his solos on Mrs Robinson and America were loud and awesome! |
