Have any members from the forum ever attended the Mathew Street Festival over the August Bank Holiday Weekend in Liverpool England.
This year the event celebrated 18 years. Basically its a show case of the best of all the tribute acts paying homage to the original sol artist or band. They have a series of stages set up around Liverpool City Centre and have different themes for each stage. You can see all the acts for free.
A few years ago I had the pleasure of seeing Sounds Of Simon and Garfunkel. They were an excellent tribute group and yes the guy being Art wore a Wig to look like him.
This year amongst the tribute acts I saw was Amie housewine (Ammie Winehouse) Lady Gaga, Duffy, Texas, Elvis Presley, The Fillers (Killers) and others.
In past I saw Staus Quid,(Stus Quo) Claptonite (Eric Clapton)
Its a fantastic 2 day event, that alsoas its Liverpool has a stage decicated to Beatles Tribute acts.
Check Google for video down loads.
If any one has been let the forum know what you thought.
