I had re-ordered this book from Amazon, but following the numerous posts of errors (and my quick look online) I too have cancelled my order.

Very dissapointing.

Even in bad books, there is usually
something to learn. My book is ancient.
And besides it won´t cost much. I
know it sounds awful and one wonders
why people do this. I would like to know more about Edie and it´s all Carrie? Edie sounds very nice, my vet
knows her, but it gets embarrassing to
always ask about Edie or Paul.

Marfa: I wonder if your vet talks to Edie about YOU?? Lol! ("So there´s this chick that keeps asking about you and your husband...")

"Sound of Silence" is a "doom and gloom" song with a "god is dead" statement? News to me...

Look at this Youtobe video where Mr. Eliot talks about his book about Paul.

He is very positive about Paul.

Thanks Ans,yes he seemed very positive about Paul there, yet he still misquoted the name of one of Paul´s greatest songs, calling it ´The Only Living Boy In New York City´. I´m glad he appreciates Paul´s ability as a guitarist though.

You are right Ian, as the writer of the biography he should have done his homework. It´s not that difficult to get the facts right. Even more because he seems to admire Paul.

He does not sound that positive about Paul in the Biographie. There are so many places where he "knows" what somebody thought and he analyses way too much to call that a biographie. Every chapter that I read so far has a lot of comment about Dylan. I don´t think he played THAT big role in Paul´s life.

And with all those totally wrong facts that I know about, I wonder if the other things are right. And you get the impression that there are a lot of songs, that he never really listend to (like he states that "You are to one is a song about Lulu - has he ever listened to the lyrics?)

I mean "You are the one" of course. You can´t edit your post afterwards.

Ok, I just thought he may have misspelled the name too in the book ;-)

I will be very careful, but it´s odd that of the biographies I know of, no
one has said anything good about any
of them. I would not want all these
errors out there even if they were
small ones. Paul should write his own,
but I think he is too young for that.
