 | No. I live in New Zealand and ordered it and received it direct from Warners Archive website.
Packaging give warning it may not work on PC, but it works fine on my laptop which confirms to me it is not restricted to USA region.
Well worth getting. |

 | It says "all regions" so does that mean it plays on European DVD-players too? |

 | Yes, I think it does work with European DVD players. It certainly works with mine. Bear in mind, although it doesn´t appear to be region coded, your TV would need to be accept NTSC for it to work. Most Euro TVs can, but you can end up with a black & white picture or some funny effects if it doesn´t.
I bought my copy from DeepDiscount.com, where it´s a bit cheaper than Amazon.com. |

 | On Amazon you can already read some parts of the new biography. The author puts a lot of his own interpretation in everything he writes. I am not to sure if I like that. Let´s see. |

 | Have read the first 2-3 pages now.
I am not sure: Is it me who is too captious, or is it imprecise writting, or just plain wrong information?
For example: (end of S&G..)
Paul broke up the act and took the solo route with the release of ´Kodachrome´
????
Sorry, but that sentence is so inaccurate and wrong, that I could not just read over it.
Next example:
(The phase when Paul and Art appeared together on stage) lasted until 1986. ?? !!
No, not 1986, they already broke up again in 1983, before the release of H&B.
I know this is only the introduction, but when this book is full of these strange errors, I am not willing to buy it. I want accurate and new information, not uncouth writting.

 | I am afraid you are right, Bodo. He totally confused the timeline. (Like the S&G Shows 1993 and the death of Pauls father that definetly happended after that shows). Let´s try to find out, how many errors we can find in the first pages. Maybe we win a prize...
I also had to laugh about Elton John´s oh so experimental music and how Paul never will come close to Dylan with his lyrics and how he was his idol. Maybe the man wrote the biography about the wrong musician.

 | You´re kidding right,Bodo? Are these inaccuracies for real? If this book is just a blow by blow comparison with Dylan, with Paul coming off second best, then I think I´ll save my money. Are there any good points about this book? If these clumsily researched timeliness etc continue into the book itself, then the author has no business writing about anyone or anything. :-( |
