Well, I was in the opinion that Paul should never work on Capeman again, having spent so many years on it already, but it looks like he spent some time in the last year doing so.

Well, let´s watch what happens in the Park this summer, and yes, if the show has been expurged from its flaws and rethought, it might be a good opportunity for Paul to make us rediscover that part of his career.

Although I relistened lately to the cast album, and I must say that I am kind of bored quite rapidly by the music. Maybe it is the production of the soundtrack. One can see that it has not received the care SFTC had.

I will revisit the lyrics soon.

I Love the whole album. It took me awhile to get fully immersed in it, and now I like everything on it. I have been listening every night for a month. I will see it in New York Monday night - I hope it is good.

Oh nancy I envy you so hard....

1 year ago I was at Central Park - how I would have wished to see a Paul Simon concert there. If we would live in a perfect word, then Paul Simon should give a free concert at the park every 5 years :)

I wish you could be there, Bodo. I have a ticket to attend the back stage reception after the show on the 16th - that should be interesting. I wonder if Paul will be there.

I have to say after listening to the
Old soundtrack twice, I could never
guess who wrote it. It just isn´t
Paul. I must say though that in
general I do not like Broadway
musicals, my husband was in many in
our community theater groups and also
we saw many touring shows and I didn´t like any of them except for
Phantom of the Opera. So I am not
going to judge a genre that in
general I don´t like.

Here is a link to a review of The Capeman in Central Park . Nancy had a Night to Remember at the reception after, She will most likely fill us all in with the details when she gets home after seeing Harper on Wed night.

I read the review...it is fantastic !

1st step was the bold move of having the concert done in 2008 at BAM. 2nd was this Central Park version reworked. 3rd one ? Having it played at a small venue ?

Kudos to Paul to have allowed this team to review and edit this piece-of-art.

Incidentally, I watched CNN yesterday, which broacasted an interview of the mother of the guy who killed 8 of his work colleagues. I was surely thinking of "Can´t I forgive him". It is still as relevant nowadays.
