Judging by Broadway´s track record, people might have gone if classic Simon songs had been incorporated with the new material. I don´t know that I care for the idea, but it might have worked.

As long as Paul makes new music, we do not need a Paul Simon musical.
Anyway, I am pretty sure somewhen they will produce a Simon and Garfunkel musical - a mixture of Alice in Wonderland with S&g music. That will bring in a lot of money...
