 | Hey, while I begin to dislike Paul Mc Cartneys fake hair color more and more I must admit - this guy has a constant quality as also quantity of output.
And whenever I hear a song I like it, and I knew it is Paul Mc Cartney.
I heard this song at the end of the movie Everything´s fine and thought what a nice McCartney song - it must be 25 or more years Old.
But hey, it is a new song.

 | This is a nice song indeed.
But... I thought this was a Paul Simon site and not a Paul McCartney site :-)
Let´s discuss all the Pauls in the world... |

 | Macca´s great for sure, and like Dylan,Young etc, whose music I Love too,he´s very prolific, which is not always a good thing. There are nearly always a couple of songs on each of Macca´s 80´s and 90´s albums that would never pass muster he Paul Simon were editing him. In his defence though, they are usually extremely hummable despite the sometimes silly lyrics. Wow,I hope he doesn´t read this. Sorry Macca.(thumbs aloft:)) |

 | I once was a huge Beatles fan and I still like them a lot, but for my taste Maccas songs a little bit too simple. The last album I heard was Memory almost full and I was a little bit surprised that some of the songs seem to be written in an hour or so. I agree with Ian, that there is to few editing for my taste. |

 | Well, I do not have any Macca albums, I only know the few singles which appear on youtube. So I would agree with you that some of his songs are not up to Simons standard. And I agree that even some of those single releases have easy structures or simple lyrics.
On the other hand, Macca has released 21 solo albums in the same time when Simon only released 10
Right, we can talk about all Pauls ;) Well, our Paul is a little bit quiet this year...so it starts to get boring. I wished he would have add some surprising solo shows after the S&G tour was cancelled - but that didn´t happen. I wonder what he is doing with all that time now. |

 | Hopefully he is working on the new CD. It could be a good fall with the book and CD. I bought tickets for both the Madison concerts and am still disappointed. |

 | Hey Bodo, you know I am going to AGAIN say that "Paul and Paul" should try to work together. McCartney could use some of Simon´s discipline and Simon could use some of McCartney´s amazing musical hooks.
In my opinion McCartney has done some excellent later material. Flaming Pie (written while Linda McCartney was dying) has about 4 ´Beatles-level´ songs and Chaos and Creation has about 6. I think McCartney is still one of the best singer-songwriters. Of course, I prefer Simon, but I still think they might both benefit from some collaboration.
And I do agree with you about McCartney´s hair color. He needs to let it go grey! |
