Is this reliable ?

There are a few mistakes in the article...

I am puzzled at Simon wanting to go back to Columbia. I thought he was upset with them, altough this was in the 1970. LOL !! It seems Warner has done a lot for him, with the Graceland album, etc.

And I am cautious about his best work in 20 years. Hope this is true ! He said that too for The Capeman project.

If it is an album on the american songs & bluegrass, it fits the idea of duo with Bob Dylan.

well I agree unlike Paul to talk like this to a journalist but the Yankees won again so maybe he was in a happy and expansive mood. Cannot see why anyone would make this up though. Maybe the guy wanted to expand the article and googled for more info and did not properly check the dates of the Gershwyn award. A recording with Dylan would be great, Never saw the concert tour but have the songs from it. Really liked them together, though.
I guess we will just have to wait and see.

One-Trick Pony was the first Warner album, contrary to what the article says.

If the album really was due in the autumn wouldn´t it be mostly finished by now? I mean shouldn´t Bob Dylan already have recorded his "singing"?

I suppose that those people that irritated Paul at Columbia are long gone and that´s is why he is moving his catalogue back to them. But at the same it sounds strange that he can´t confirm that the new album should be released by them? Maybe that´s is just a way of raising the price of a deal he wants for the new album.

Whether or not the new album is his best work for 20 years I don´t know yet of course, but from what we have heard of the few songs that has performed since "Surprise", I doubt it. But Paul has surprised before (both negatively and positively)...

I was just checking itunes for a Paul Simon album and found no Paul Simon album is available on itunes in Australia, other than Negotiations And Love Songs and Paul Simon Songbook and Biko.
