According to paulsimon.com Paul is touring with Art Garfunkel throughout Canada at the end of April throughout May. There goes any hope for an American or European tour anytime soon.

Danny they could still add more dates. Art still has all May and June available on his calendar. Maybe they are still negotiating other dates or seeing how ticket sales go. I think they will still do their final shows in the U S maybe 2011 when the Old frienda are 70.

Well, there is no hope for USA or Europe now. You have to be more specific.

As we see, they have to fullfill their promise they made in 2003 to play "everywhere".
So 2009 was Australia and Japan
2010 Canada and some to most US citizens unknown US regions.
2011 Former Sowjet countries (canceled, as not more than 500 people know S&G there - but how should Artie know that?)
2012 Antarctica and Patagonia (concert live via satellite, seen by 3 billion penguins)
2013 China (by a lack of understanding from the the Dalai Lama, which had such a nice talk to Paul in 2002)
2014 The Hawaii Aloah Tour (including Aleutian islands)
2015 Tour trough the Republic of western Catalonia (famous sentence by Paul: Artie, this is a country you invented, isn´t it?)
2016 Tibet and Taiwan (China veto+no other S&G tours in China are allowed)
2017 The: To a undiscovered land tour. (A big dispute about the position of Atlantis between Paul and Art, which Paul could finally win because a concert on the ocean floor has already been held by Paul Mc.Cartney (r.i.p)
2018 Goodbye Liechtenstein and Monaco

Thats the plan.

hey, You are so wrong, Simon and Garfunkel are much more know in eastern Europe than just any of them alone. Sounds Of Silence or Mrs Robinson are every day hits on most radio stations. At least in Czech republic. Everybody knows them... and in fact Artie act in movie which was filmed in Czech... what was its name... forgot :)

MOG, I doubt that they will be hurt by your absence. They will be crying all the way to the bank!

I can´t believe the ticket prices. Just saw tickets for Fargo at Ticketmaster, one ticket, $325.00 second row on the floor. That is about ? 240.00

I would never pay such prices, not even for Paul solo.

Ticketmaster is selling tickets with top price of $128.00 escept the Gold Package which is $400+. The price gouging ticket brokers who buy up blocks of tickets are trying to resell them at very high prices - I wish they could outlaw such practices.

Yes, I had a look at the gold, silver and bronze packages. They don´t allow you to go backstage, you get a collectors item, I hope at least with an autograph on it. Well, to be honest, for $400+ S&G should take you out to dinner...;-) But we Europeans are not familiar with these expensive package deals.

Tickets prices are making the concert even more special I guess. Maybe most people would feel that there time is over and they are an oldie-act, if they price is 50 $ :-)

But - the tickets aren´t really expensive IMO (except these senceless packages). 128 USD, that are less than 100 Euros. (90-95?). S&G in Germany had their most expensive tickets for 160 Euros I remember. (so 240 USD).

I often wonder what Paul is doin with all his money. I mean - the CHF, how much does he give per year to it? Must be a few million $ - I just think that, because for his private live he does not have a lot of luxury. They live a normal life.

@Bodo

What does Paul do with his money? Hopefully he is financing his hobby of releasing CDs that don´t sell that well.

I guess he could afford to invest $10 000 per year for a decent web site ?

Lol, it´s all about where the priorities lie...

I am sure Paul helps more good causes than just CHF but he likes to keep it private. Helping artists releasing their cd´s is a good hobby :) In the past he took Marc Anthony and Frankie Negrón under his wings.
