Hi has anyone bought Bob Dylan´s Christmas CD. I have heard extracts on the samples information desks in HMV UK. Its an unusual CD.

Anyone any thoughts or comments.

Insidently as I mentioned in my previous message within th"Silent Night" discussion Art Garfunkel did indeed relase a Christmas Album.

"The Animals Christmas" by Jimmy Webb

Art Garfunkel and Amy Grant. Released on CBS (Columbia) back in 1986.

Art Garfunkel also recorded the soundtrack to Mike Batt´s Musical

"The Hunting Of The Snark" bassed on the nonsence poem from Alice Through The Looking Glass by Lewis Carol.

We have the Christmas Cd from Bob Dylan. It´s a cheerful Cd with good arrangements. Especially Must Be Santa is very funny, check it out at youtube, Bob looks like Tom Petty in the video :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVs6X9yIM_k

We play the CD a lot, it gives you a whole other look at Christmas music :)

All proceeds from the CD go to the charity Feeding America.

And for those with a taste for jazzy mellowness, I highly recommend James Taylor´s Christmas album.

James Taylor has also recorded and performed with both Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel.

James Taylor recorded "What A Wonderful World" with both Paul and Art.

H also recorded a live duet "Crying In The Rain." This was with Art Garfunkel for Art´s live Concert CD/VHS/DVD "Accross America".

Morew recently James Taylor also appeared at The Library Of Congress Tribute to Paul Simon.

Yes, I really like James Taylor´s album At Christmas too, great jazzy arrangements and nice collaborations with Natalie Cole, Toots Thielemans and Chris Botti.
