Hi-it is easier to type in guest than remember my sign in -anyway I was wondering if everyone had discussed in past topics S&G songs -how the music was written, how they were sung and the lyrics-can anyone suggest where to find this type of information here or elsewhere? Thanks Barb

Hi Barb,
I search through youTube for live talk show interviews, or Paul Simon documentary videos such as Ellgee82´s Channel where they´ve created excellent video compilations of interviews. I´ve found out bits of information on iTunes album review, and customer reviews on amazon.com.

thanks for the hints, Helen. Over on Art´s site the group had gone through all of Paul´s solo songs, sort of chord by chord, but I do not see the S&G songs that way-I was hoping for the same here-(Barb)

Hi Barb,
I´ve had a bit of a look at Art´s site, but not thoroughly. I´ll check it out after my holiday. I´d Love to know the thoughts behind his songs. Lots of his lyrics in early songs show great wisdom for someone in their 20s. Most people take years of counselling to come to the understanding in the themes in some songs.

When I hear "Old Friends", I always wonder how he got it so right when he was only about 26 or so when he wrote it. I have heard him say that he wonders about that himself.

Hi,
I added a video of the S&G Kraft Music hall of ´For Emily´ and ´Overs´. The lyrics show great observation of relationships. Also I Love the ´Red Rubber Ball´ which people I know could heed.
´I bought my tickets with my tears, that´s all I´m gonna spend´ (let go of the baggage) I also love lyrics to ´Duncan´ (esp live version), really sexy.
