Well, it is not going to be mp3, but iTunes has that for sure.

Nothing found on itunes...

Installed that horrible software now. :( Why can´t they just offer a website to purchase songs (or search)

I found some mp3 stores where you can buy it either for 9 or 5 US Cents... only problem: You have to buy credits for the value of 50 USD before...

Off the topic- Just back from your wonderful country the capital city Bodo. My first time there. and now we´re thinking of visiting Lermoos in the summer.

I Love the idea of celebrating Advent and a real threat not to see the coca cola santa all over the place - I even saw a traditional St nick walking around a shopping centre, with carols (not santa songs ) in the background:)

see if the video is up on Youtube. Then, google "youtube to mp3". Click on the first search result.

Copy and paste the youtube URL into the space provided on the youtube to mp3 page and it will convert the music video into an mp3 free of charge.

Hi Jon

Nothing new for me, but 2 things:

a) It is not on youtube

b) I wanted something with more quality - I can hear the difference between normal mp3 quality and the compressed format on youtube. No sorry, I can not hear it, I find it disturbing sometimes. :-)

Has anyone ever heard the original version?

Had to delete i-tunes again today. Somehow this software is able to delete my soundcard when I start the PC again. No fun. Erased the programm - and see: my soundcard is back. Wonder what the sense of that joke is.

Check the fan section. It´s not the official song but a video, unfortunately not the whole song.

Thank you Ans

Well, hopefully I will have the full song in a few minutes. Thanks to someone else here on the board.

There are 250 songs by Milton Nascimento available on itunes or amazon.com , but unfortunately not "O vendedor de sonhos" or Dream Merchant.

I have also tried some unusual mp3 pages - they have it for 5 or 9 US-Cent, but I guess their main income is not this money. They want you to buy Credits for at least 30 USD or more :-P

Maybe I should have bought the full CD...but just for one song?

Oh Scaaty. Yes we have Nikolaus and Christkindl - although they want us to change that for just having Santa Claus. The big worldwide concerns maybe do not want to launch any extra advertisement lines and produce exta things for us. Its maybe better to have Santa Claus and Halloween all over the world, that reduces production costs a lot (zynical)

There is a big community now, grown in the last years. Called: Save the Christkind. Just google how many pages there are...

Gosh Bodo that sounds serious. Hang on to your traditions, because whether you believe it or not it is still a lovely story, particularly having a small child at the centre.
In the last 10 yrs we have lost all that. Halloween which was originally an Irish tradition now has Trick or Treat which has come from else where - we used to have "anything for the Hallowe´en Party?" much friendlier!
And now people are saying happy holidays and the little red and white fat man is everywhere:(

Yes, it´s sad that traditions get lost.

We know Sinterklaas ;-) here in the Netherlands, still a strong tradition.
