 | During Paul Simon´s solo performance of "Late Great Jhonny Ace" at the first full Simon and Garfunkel Reunion Concert 1981 an incident ocurred. A man ran onto the stage and tried to interupted Paul.
Does any one know who this mnan was and if he was arrested and charged fined and or jailed?
Over to you guys

 | Arrested for which reason?
For saying: Paul I have to talk to you? |

 | Not sure, but it must have been a scary moment because it happened just after he had sung the line about John Lennon´s death! |

 | Nick from Widnes England writes:
Bodo I beleive just breaking through security and onto the concert stage where Paul Simon was performing would be enough to get you arressted.
This person could easily have concealed a weapon then we would be witness to the tragic accident that could have unfolded.
Where in the vast crowd was this man originaly as I doubt he was that close to stage area. I would like to know if the song "Later Great Johnny Ace" was the reason this guy tried to get to Paul Simon.

 | Hi Nick
Maybe today, with all these terrorist things and so, they bring you into some special place at the concert arena, or normaly - ask you to go home.
In 1982, at a free open air concert - my guess is that Pauls personal security guy just got him, said some bad words and had to let him go.
At least this is what happens now, saw that in 2002 at a Simon show. |

 | Bodo i would hope security was and is better. The concert was actually 19th September 1981 not 1982.
None should invade the stage and spol the concert for the fans regardless of intention and or reasons.
