 | Thinking about it...sounds on Paul´s version makes me think a lot about ´Gumboot Guitar´ or the Street Guitar in South Africa.
I dunnot know if it is intentional or not. I would make sense if it was. |

 | If I buy the songs, will I be able to hear the songs on the PC, or do I need an ipod? Because I don´t have one. Or do I get the songs somewhere else?

 | Hi Kerstin,
If you install iTunes on your computer you can buy the songs and play them with the iTunes player on your computer, make playlists etc.
You can play the getting started video which will tell you how to use iTunes.
Good luck.

 | I´d recommend getting getting itunes and an iPod.
We have hand-me-down ipods around here.
Actually, the 11yo got the new iPod Nano so I got the hand me down (which was already handed down from the 15yo).
Then I gave my Old iPod shuffle to my 90yo father when he got the Susan Boyle CD. Now he walks with the shuffle, thinks it´s amazing. I snuck a couple of S&G songs on his iPod.
For working on School Council, they gave us the new engraved iPod shuffle especially gift packaged ordered from the Apple website.
The iPod Nano plays video that you´ve bought and downloaded from iTunes. I downloaded the ´We are the world´ music video from iTunes because Paul Simon is on that. Love it. Michael Jackson also looking good in 1985. |

 | Hi Helen,
PG´s Boy in the Bubble has a good arrangement and he sings it well but I must say I don´t listen to it that often, I listened to the whole album and it´s just not my taste of music, I don´t like orchestra´s that much. Paul´s Biko is great and I play it a lot.
Paul´s older work is great, I often made my own cd´s of my favorite songs. I made also a couple of compilation cd´s with only the songs of his albums that are not well-known and play them often in the car. Very relaxed driving that way :)
As a newer and more nostalgic fan it will take you probably a while to appreciate YTO and Surprise. Especially Surprise is an album which has to grow on you merely because of the sonic landscape of Brian Eno and many melody changes. I recommend you to listen to Surprise on a cd a couple of times, rather than with headphones, it´s easier that way to get used to the sounds.
For me Surprise is his best album, when it came out it didn´t leave my cd player in the car for 2 years in a row and I listened to it also very often with headphones to discover all the guitarparts, melody changes and Brian´s sounds which make a good marriage with Paul´s songs.

 | Beautiful version of the song. Even though I´m a fan of Peter Gabriel as well (not even half as much as of Paul though) I prefer Biko to TBITB by lengths. |

 | Hi Ans,
I haven´t heard the whole of PG album, I downloaded BITB just to hear what that sounds like. I like Biko.
I usually buy cds but put on iTunes and play with earphones because I don´t have a decent sound system. That´ll have to be the next major purchase. Playing cd´s in the car is good idea.
I bought the You´re the One in Concert DVD which arrived today. We´re going away for the long weekend camping so won´t get a chance to watch it properly till Tuesday.
Thanks for your advice. |

 | Hi
Thank you Ans, for writting down the lyrics. I just was searching for them because on youtube a few people sad bad words about Paul, they said he even mixed up the numbers (619 - 369)
Well, Paul clearly sings 369, and not 619. Anyone has an idea why?
This number isn´t just an irrelevant number, it was the real room number 619, so changin that makes no sense, if you just do it because 369 sounds better.
