 | In Sweden we have a kind of nobelprice in music, Peter Gabriel is the last winner, Dylan,Springsteen,Mcartney is other winners, Paul Simon is a favorite every year in the media but he has never get it, and some jounalist mean he has been asked but he will not recive it, i don´t belive he should do so, the price is a memorie of the Stickan Andersson a manager to Abba, i million is the price. I think if he get it he came to recive it. My ? is what do you think

Why should someone who has everything receive 1 million USD?
This price is somehow complete nonsense IMO, and thats why Paul does not want it I guess (if he really refused). He can only come, and say that he will spend this million for the CHF. Ok, nice idea, but they could also spend the money for his flight ticket and the gala-dinner and evening show with 500 guests (which might cost another 500.000 USD all together). My answer if I am in Pauls skin: Please send the money, no party necessary ;)
The nobel prize for science and writers and medicine a.s.o. make more sense, most of the time the winners are not rich, and use the money for their next project. |
