Nick from Widnes England writes:

Has Paul Simon´s younger brother released any albums or music clips of his own musical abilities. On Youtube we have a clip of Paul and Ed playing "Angie" by the late Davey Graham, both on acoustic guitars.

Also on the documentary video "Born At The Right Time" Ed can be seen playing piano.

If anyone has any information regarding Ed oon CD Youtube Clips etc let me know. I have seen photos and sometimes Ed looks a lot like his brother at first glimpse.

Look forward to your answers.

YouTube has a clip of the song "14th Annual Fun & Pleasure Fair" by The Guild Light Gauge in which Eddie was a member of the group around 1968.

Are there any more recent pictures of Eddie? I wonder if they still look the same that much.
Btw I found there is an artist called Eddie Simon (who is not PS brother)

Eddie was also a member of a duo in the 60s, called Ben and Crib. Though I have never seen any cited recordings.

The flip side cover of "Cloudy", by the Guild Light Gauge, on which I assume Eddie played guitar, carries the co writing credit of P.Simon. and B.Woodley. A reference to the brief song writing collaboration between Paul and Bruce Woodley of The Seekers. Yet when the track appeared on the "Parsley Sage" album the full credit had mysteriously vanished.

The most recent picture of Eddie I´ve seen, was a little worrying. He was extremely thin, and had what looked to be,medical breathing apparatus around his face/nose. SimonD,I´m surprised by the missing credit on Cloudy,as I have hitherto been unaware of Woodley´s involvement in that particular song. Maybe it was a credit lost when Paul re-negotiated a publishing deal or something. If he went into a short term publishing contract with Woodley, anything that they wrote together or apart would attract the Simon/Woodley credit. Like Lennon and MaCartney, who mostly wrote apart, but each took co-credit on everything up until 1970.

Oh dear, that doesn´t sound very good. Have you any idea when that picture was taken. I hope Eddie is all right.

No Ans,but it was several months ago that I found the picture, and I read in the recent tour programme that Eddie is still managing Paul´s business affairs,so I am assuming any illness he may have had,was only temporary. At least,I pray so,anyway.
