 | I don´t think so. I´d say Paul will release a few things in that fashion, and then when he has written and recorded the appropriate amount of songs(including any like ´Angels´ previously released as downloads),he´ll release a new album. This has always been his style-previously released singles often end up on the next album, for example ´Father and Daughter´ which appeared on ´Surprise´,3 years after it was first released as single. |

 | I also think he will release an album
First - without the promotion (his TV and radio appearances) he can not sell single songs. My guess is that the incomme with a song like Questions for the angles and no promotion is around zero.
2nd - Paul has a very big fanbase, and main audience there is in the age between 40-60 years. They buy albums. Without advertisement he sells about 800.000 copies in the US, so he can not blame filesharing for low sales.
The thing is: Today Paul just does not write any hits and any mainstream music, so he should not wonder why his sales aren´t higher.
And my last statement: The concept of an album is IMO the only think wich really can make the songs valuable. All the single songs released in between, get lost over time. I speak about songs like ´Thelma´ or ´Ten years´ or ´Stranded In A Limousine´ - only die hard fans like us know these songs and listen to these songs. But even than, the frequency I listen to these songs is lower than listening to an album like ROTS.
So I would say: It is a waste to release just single songs.

 | Thats very true Scaaty
BTW: I sometimes wonder: Does a song become a hit because we appreciate it and want the singer to play it - or will it just became a hit because the artist plays it on his shows very often?

 | I don´t think Paul Simon care about if he sales but he don´t like princip you don´t get pay for the copyright. Paul Simon don´t do hits today he write music he will he has done that since after Hearts And Bones whit the motto Nobody don´t care of what i do. He has the money and he has the age, he can feed his family and sometimes even mr Garfunkels |

 | Pfff...sorry Pelly, this seems just speculations on your part...
It is true that Paul, like many other artists, will probably release songs in another fashion than the format "album".
But chances are that at some points, he would collect them...
We will see. |

 | I presume that the record company will decide how the music will be distributed, not the artist.
Paul will allways continue to make music, it´s what he does, and provided there is an audience who are willing to pay, the record companies whill be more than happy to put it out.
Electronic distribution requires almost no capital investment initially, with no manufacturing costs etc.. they can even rely on the internet for a large part of the maketing, it´s easier than everr to put music out. If it doesn´t sell well, no-ones lost out, especially the fat execs! |
