 | Yep ! They did it once again.
Two years after The Essential, Paul comes back in Starbucks Stores with an exclusive compilation.

The tracklist is kind of strange...
This time, they use the following trick to get our money: they promise a free new track through iTunes. It is something called ´Questions for (or from) the angels´.

 | This Better Be Good? Is it meant as a funny understatement or something? I totally agree, awesome tracklist - I Love the songs selected from the later albums (rather than the usual numbers he plays like Old and Outrageous). They should also have added That´s where I belong, Everything about it is a love song and Wartime prayers (well in my opinion!) |

 | It is an odd looking sleeve. Does it have the words ´Hi-Fi Stereo´ printed on the front cover. Peculiar. Is it even a Warners product? Incidentally, when Paul toured Australia in 1991,Warners Australia released a Paul Simon compilation called ´The Best of Paul Simon´. I did buy it,to keep my collection complete, and it likewise had an unusual tracklist at the time. Probably wouldn´t seem so unusual now, though. The reason I even mention it,is that the same photo of Paul was used on that compilation, and this new one. Does anyone else own this 1991 compilation. It was only released for a limited time, and I´ve not seen it in shops since then. |
