 | There is an article in the New York Times about the closing of a famous music store in New York City. In the article there is a link to a site named mannysmusic.com. If you go to that site, they have a nice interview with Paul. (Sorry I don´t know how to link that here.) Paul talks with the store owner about visiting with this father. Paul puts his glasses on and looks through a book with photos of customers. They joke about how he did ´pretty good´ with Simon & Garfunkel. It is a nice, relaxed discussion, interesting and nostalgic.

 | Yeah,I remember Paul saying on the ´Iconoclasts´ documentary, that his father used to take him to Manny´s store as a child. It must almost be an iconic place to musicians in NYC,of certain generations anyway. |

 | Hm, why did they have to close it?
I mean, such famous names there - and they have to close? |

 | I think no one else in the family wanted to carry on. |

 | Manny´s grandson sold it ten years ago to Sam Ash music and they said that the store hasn´t been very profitable so they are converting it into a Sam Ash guitar shop. If it´s not even changing ownership I don´t understand the need for the complete change. How unprofitable could it really have been? It´s too bad Manny´s was a really cool place. |

 | Yeah,you´d think the name ´Manny´s´ would have a value alone,regardless of who´s running the show. |
