Ticketmaster is just terrible. I spent 3 hours trying to buy tickets for others and it never said sold out - just try again. What a waist of time.

Hopefully, there will be a second concert, but there are already 3,000 on a waiting list and I don´t know how you get on it.

Well, I am pretty sure that most tickets will appear at some re-sellers, ebay a.s.o.

BTW: Doesn´t anyone wonder that they said the Michael Jackson concerts in London have been sold out in a few minutes - but since weeks they now make advertisement everywhere on the internet for these tickets... And you can get tickets for ALL shows.

So what means ´sold out´ today?

For me it is nothing more than a marketing trick for higher ticket prices. People who believe that are going to spend much more money for THE LAST ticket.

Oh - 10.000 is a very ´small´ venue BTW. Why didn´t they take a big stadion?

I only remember these big stadions in Europe 2004..with 30-40k people. Also in Miami there have been much more people, even it was indoor.

Paul Simon alone could fill this 10.000 people stadion in Auckland I guess (if you take the fact that he hasn´t been there for around 18 years)

Well it is winter there in June, so I assume that there are not that many places that hold much more than 20.000 people. Anybody knows?

By the way I was curious and checked the ticket sites and they do have most of the categories sold out for all the dates. I don´t think they would do that just for marketing, because they will not get more than the original price.

There are Stadiums in Australia and New Zealand that can hold 50,000 to 80,000 people. They were used on the 83 tour.

Indoors, Ian? And with halfway decent accoustics?

No,sorry Mimi,I think the largest indoor arena,in Australia anyway, might be one of the tennis venues where they can close the roof in case of rain or heat. These buildings may only hold 20,000 or so. They always fit more in on concerts because they can use the floor as well!
