Hi. Can anyone who went to one of the S&G gigs in 2003-04,tell me if they had the large Video Screens at the shows they attended. Also,if they did have them at all the shows, would any of those venues have been under a 15,000 capacity? Thank You.

Hi there Ian. YOu are from Oz not US aren´t you?

I went to the 3 New York concerts at MSG in Dec 2003, which were used for the Live on Stage DVD.

The video screens were used to great effect. The only difference to the DVD as at the end of the starting video clip the images changed to the location of the venue and map and merged into a live audience shot so that it was almost like watching a video of the concert you were at.

I am going to try to get tickets to the NZ show and then hopefully also hop across to the 2 Sydney shows the next week end.

The Acer Arena is great. I went to see Roger Waters (Pink Floyd) there over a year ago. Fantastic show almost 3 hours including full playing of the Dark Side of the Moon album after a half time break.

The capacity of the venue will be very similar to Madison Sq Garden.

Hi Ian

All shows had the video screen. And AFAIK there was no show with an audience under 15.000 ... well maybe the first show (which was kind of a test) was held in a smaller arena of ~10.000 people?

Thanks Bodo,I only ask because if the screens are present, even for an audience of 13,000,it would make it less important to pay for the supposed best seats. Hi Gerard, yeah I am Australian, but I am posting from my mobile, and the browser I use is relaying from a new proxy server in the US. No matter how often I change my information in preferences I´m still displaying a US IP number.
