 | I was just reading the Paul Simon entry on Wikipedia and saw mentioned that a filmmaker called Jeremy Marre has made 2 films about Paul-one about Graceland, and the other about The Capeman. I had never heard about this. I suppose they were independent films and released with little fanfare, but I would have thought I´d have heard about them before now. Has anyone seen either of these films, and are they available commercially? Thank you.

 | The film about the making of Graceland is available on DVD (or it was). The one about the Capeman could have been the one shown on Channel four a few years ago called A Roll Of The Dice....not sure who made that though. |

 | I think the director of A Roll of the Dice is indeed the same as the Graceland. Someone posted it here a while ago, with the DVD cover, etc. That´s where I got to see it.
Some excerpts are now on YouTube as well. |

 | BTW there is another one - it´s called PS Omnibus Solo 1989. It´s an hour long. I have a video of it - with strange German (or smth) subtitles, which disturb me a lot cause it´s right on the picture.
Though i´ve just downloaded this DVD, the only thing that it´s in Russian (in fact it´s the TV-programme about PS which i had watched a year ago and was searching for it ever since that time), but i wanted to watch and listen to PS without any comments :))
Anyway i can share it with you, Ian - the English version with annoying subtitles :)
Cheers, Paul |

 | The subtitles are Dutch Paul.
There exists even a German synchronization for that one...well, Paul was famous 20 years ago or so... :) |

 | Thanks everyone for your helpful answers. The Graceland documentary,is it part of the ´Classic Albums´ series? If so,I do already have that one,but the Capeman one I have never seen. Paul,I have the Omnibus special too, sans the subtitles. I would be glad to send you a copy,or as a trade for a copy of ´Roll of the Dice´. I´ll send you an email later today Paul. Thanks again. |

Just kidding, I have been in Amsterdam last weekend and enjoyed it very much... especially the half-legal stuff ;o)
Sorry for posting off-topic, I just couldn´t resist... |

 | Thanks for the offer Manus, but I do have the Graceland doco after all. It´s an episode of the first series of the ´Classic Albums´ show. That´s what threw me I think. There may be others that could use the links though. |
