 | Look,I don´t pretend to know better than the man himself, what Paul Simon should do with his career, and if it pleases him to perform again with Art Garfunkel,so be it. While The US and Europe have had several opportunities to see Paul, either solo or with AG in just the past 10 years,we here in Australia have not seen Paul since 91,or S&G since 83!!! So keeping that in mind,if it´s Paul´s pleasure to tour again with Artie,I hope they will come to Australia this time, because I´ll take Paul Simon in any formation he may care to offer himself. |

 | So now we have to decide what will be the worst event for this planet:
1.) The economic crisis
2.) Another Simon and Garfunkel reunion
3.) The climate changings because of CO 2.
Emotionally I would say number 2, but my really deep fear is number 3 since many years.

 | If the tour would be in Australia that would be fair to do, there were rumours about that before.
Well, it was only a matter of time that this would happen. I knew Art Garfunkel would do everything to push the chance for touring again with Paul. Unfortunately the average people Love nostalgia too much, it´s not only S&G they want to see again and again. |

 | Well some people are nostalgic for mid 70´s period Paul Simon, some for Graceland era Paul Simon. It´s all relative. Fortunately, nostalgia always plays a role when a long standing artist performs or we´d get a setlist of only brand new and unreleased music, which could get a tad dreary. I look at Paul Simon´s music as a whole,a timeline-if he tours with Art Garfunkel,it just means he´s favouring his earliest material. Of course a Paul Simon solo tour would be preferable for a lot of us,but it is all the same man. If it is another S&G tour,I hope for a few different song choices than the ´Old Friends´ setlists. How about ´So Long,Frank Lloyd Wright´,´Fakin´ it´, and ´Richard Corey´ for example? |

 | Hmm, I can´t see how Paul could favouring his earliest material, at Barnes & Noble he said he was shocked when he made the Lyrics Book at how bad his early songs were. I think he gives in to make a tour because the public wants it so badly, look at the public resposne on Friday night at the Beacon, and it´s no secret how bad Art wants them to be together again, like I said before he would do anything to push it, there are no definite plans yet but Art makes sure it is mentioned in the media. When I saw all the articles with opening lines about how S&G reunited last Friday I got the fear that there would happen some more, but this is very fast.
I would be happy for the Australian fans but I hope they will not tour in America or Europe again, they already did that and it is boring to do that again. |

 | I think this could be good if they can do it like PaulBob but PaulArt in that maybe Art does a solo set and then Paul comes out and they do a few songs together and then Paul does a longer solo set and then Art comes back out for the encore.
I think that would work really well because it means Paul could show off his new songs (Love and Hard Times etc) to a much bigger audience. The show would be longer so they could charge higher prices and the general public/casual fans would love to see S&G singing Old Friends and Paul playing Call me Al all in the same show... |

 | If they do territory that they did not do in 2003/2004, I do not mind.
The BBC article was not that precise (except for the title)...it is just Garfunkel saying that the idea of working together is coming together. What did he mean exactly ? Maybe he is still trying to push his agenda... |

 | Yep. It is again one of these AG Interviews. Telling nothing exactly. Didn´t we have exactly the same sentences a few years ago?
I hope it means nothing.
What happened to the ´NEW´ Paul Simon album. Some people posted here last summer that they talked to band members, and they definately said something will be released in fall... |
