I really would appreaciate that. This article will be published in a book, and I am a little bit concerned about my english now :-D




Summary:
Over a period of 17 years starting in the year 1990 an intermittent manual collection of subjective observations and manual measurements has been made, whenever a north foehn event could be recognized in the Graz basin. The manual and notations include temperature, humidity and a subjective classification into three intensity classes ?low?, ?normal?, ?intensive?. These 304 records have been matched with the official meteorological data and analyzed by temperature, relative humidity, visibility, cloudiness and wind force to determine the meteorological parameters characterizing a typical and extraordinary event, which is defined now by a humidity lower than 50(45) percent, visibility of at least 50(80) kilometers and a minimal wind force of 2(3) Beaufort at the appointed time, as also a minimal peak value wind force of 5(6) Beaufort.
These parameters have been used as an input to find automatically all 449 north foehn events (26.4 per year) in the official meteorological data of the station Graz-University. A number of 98 events (5.8 per year) are assigned to the category ?intense?, with a maximal accumulation in the spring months, and a minimum during summer. The winds highest force is usually reached at midday between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM, when the insolation reaches its daily peak and the primary atmospheric layering becomes instable. In the night hours the north foehn usually aborts suddenly, only very strong events predominate for a period of 2 days (16 percent), and only 7 percent last longer than 2 days.
While the average temperatures in winter are significant higher during the winds effective period, and the north foehn is followed by days with under average temperatures, in summer the arctic and polar air masses which dominated the event, are lowering the temperature for a period of 2 or 3 days. Also during the frost season from October to April nightfrosts on the following day are common, and this eventuality reaches a frequency of 96 percent in December.

The included air mass mostly has an above average maritime characteristic, while continental and subtropical air masses are represented under average. These values are emphasized by the effective general weather situations, where especially northwest and northeast conditions have a higher specific effectuality to cause the occurrence of north foehn in Graz, and also the precipitation potency is significant above average on the northwest side of the alps during all seasons, while in Graz it declines against zero. Also the following days show an under average precipitation potency, especially during the summer months of August the north foehn is a forerunner of fair weather conditions.

The interpretation of a high distinctive north foehn period from November 3 till November 7 at the end of this paper should stand as an example for all analysis made.

Hi Bodo,it all looks correct to my tired[5am]eyes,excepting the use of the word ´significant´ twice within the piece. On both instances the word should be changed to ´significantly´. Apart from that,it reads very well. I will have another look later in the day,but I believe it´s fine.
