 | I remeber I have brought up this poll some years ago. Now 138 people voted, and I still can not believe the top ratings...
Pauls worst solo songs:

Ok, maybe most of us agree on cars are cars...but pig sheep and wolves, thats just a fantastic song. His live performance was so great. The Vampires is one of my all time favourites, I understand, they lyrics are very hard, but this song is just great for dancing. Can´t run but - I guess Simon himself would rate this song as one of his top songs from the ROTS album - incredible rhythms. And Outrageous...wasn´t that the hit single from his last album? ;-)

| I like Cars Are Cars, even though it dosen´t sound like anything Paul Simon would write but I like it.
Night Game is a good song too! I like the Mystic feeling about it. |

 | i have a soft spot for Cars Are Cars like everything else on the H&B album. Especially living in a country were we went car mad for the last 10 years, with US type limos and 4x4 in a tiny country.!!! Thank God for the Recession! |

| I Love Cars Are Cars. I was studing to become a driver last year and i was listening to S&G concert in Vancouver. That song is terrific!!!
I remember i was going to the hospital to collect some of the references that i´m healthy and so on. It was very boring cause it´s a huge waste of time, but Paul´s and Arthur´s Cars are Cars made my mood better!
It´s a great song. Why most of the people are judging only the studio songs? I wonder.. |

 | I do think Cars Are Cars is awful. It´s the worst one I´ve ever heard. I like Was A Sunny Day. Pigs Sheep and Wolves is i very clever song with some great political undertones as well as overtones, although the song itself is rather unorthodox.
Also -- Cant Run But, Cool,Cool, River, Rhythem of the Saints (the song), Groovy Thing Going, and Love aren´t that great either. |

 | Since I read in the book Words and Music of Paul Simon by James Bennighof how Paul describes through the music and lyrics in Cars Are Cars how he once owned a very comfortable, homey car and goes on to observe that he probably wouldn´t have traveled as much if his homes had been more like this car I look at the song in a whole different way...

| Cool River !!! That´s a really cool song. Jon, i can send you some really great live versions of this song. Firstly, i was like you and didn´t like this song at all. But once i heared it from the concert of a Lifetime in a very great quality - it had struck me! And since that time it has become one of my favourites!!! It´s great!!!!! |

Nope...Paul is not perfect and he has committed some bad songs like everybody else.
My own list:

2. Allergies
3. When number gets serious
4. Think too much (a)
5. Quiet
6. Killer wants to go to College (1) and (2)
And I know it might not count, but one of the bonus tracks on "One-Trick Pony"...Spiral something. Awful !! This one should have been kept in the vault where it belongs ! |

| Cars Are Cars would be one of my least favourite Paul songs.. but i honestly dont hate any.. he once said that can´t run but and The Cool, Cool River are two of his favourite songs from the Rhythm Of The Saints album. |

I don´t understand the poll rating, too. And look at this poll:
What are paul´s worst solo albums:
~26% said "Songs From The Capeman"...
and that´s my favourite album.
I really think the more costlier an album by Paul Simon is the less it´s honored by the listeners. There are different kind of listeners: The "normal" people and the musicians. And if you see the albums from an artistically view you can´t deny that Songs from the Capeman is one of Paul Simons best work.
