Hello, guys!
Just seen this clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQkHOBRNnMs
this is Rock&Roll Hall of Fame 1990 where S&G appeared. I know that this DVD video exists. And also i´ve seen there S&G reunion 80s concert, where Paul wears a different suit. Does anybody know is there a DVD of S&G reunion tour different from Central Park 1981?

This is a 1 1/2 second clip of a concert - how can you think that there exists a DVD of that?

Well - I am searching for Paul Simon DVDs now since 8 or more years, and I definately have never seen any other S&G 80´s show. That is way to long ago, in the early 80´s no one had a small video camera to make a private recording of a concert.

This just might be some material from a news broadcast - where they only filmed a few minutes.

well, have you heared about S&G Concert of a lifetime DVD that exists and i watched it or The Capeman video recording which i watched too? And i know that there´re three versions of the Concert of a Lifetime 8 oct 1993 - speaking about that you said that there´re no S&G Central Park audience recordings (but there must be 10 at least).
There´re a few unofficial Paul Simon DVDs - for instance San Sebastian 1989 or Tokyo Dome 1991. The same thing is CP 1991 - you have said that it´s also unofficial. The same thing is with PS 2008 tour - i read the conversaton here about the unreleased DVD.
So let´s hope that this Milwaukee DVD concert exists - even if it´s an audience video recording :)

Paul - seriously - I have all of these DVD´s you are talking about, since many years now.

As I said - in the year 1983 it was not common that people had private video cameras - in 1993 people had this. So there are not 10 video recordings around. But the short scene from this r&r hall of fame report was a pro-shot. My guess: they only filmed a few minutes for their news broadcast.

San Sebastian is a pro-shot (aired on Spain TV)
Toky Dome is a pro-shot (aired on Japanese TV)

The first private video shot was this benefit show in 1987 with Bruce Springsteen. Horrible quality.

Also the 1993 private videos are in my opinion not really watchable. Most of the time the screen is just black...

The first good quality shots came from a Canadian men in 2000. (I heard he is in jail now - he filmed every show possible and sold them on the internet - his trick was that he was sitting in a wheel chair, got a special seat, and could film there with a tripod)

What do you mean when you say: "The same thing is CP 1991 - you have said that it´s also unofficial" ?

unofficial just means that it has not been released on DVD. But this unofficial DVD is a copy of a official Laser Disc. (or copy from VHS in not so good quality). I know who made this LD copy, he is posting here sometimes.

"As I said - in the year 1983 it was not common that people had private video cameras"
I mean movie-cameras. In 1920s during the Civil War in Russia the people (not everyone of course) had this movie-cameras and they are tiny (30 cm max in length) and the quality is perfect for that time. And now too cause it´s a photo-movie camera i´d say (with a long photo tape).

"So there are not 10 video recordings around."
I meant at least ten S&G CP 1981 audio recordings.

"Also the 1993 private videos are in my opinion not really watchable"
They are watchable indeed! And listenable. And that recording one german sailor did is perfect! "If you like music". Especially Paul Simon´s music. I can even say i would trade all of my Paul Simon for a full 1993 video - no matter what the quality is.
1987 Benefit is awful, agree.

"My guess: they only filmed a few minutes for their news broadcast"
A few seconds i suppose :) To film only a few minutes of this wonderful concert - a waist of time! i don´t believe in that. There´s a proverb - hopes die last. I can´t admit that at all. Maybe this recording´s collecting the dust at some TNT warehouse.

Why to flatten everybody?
Guys, let´s find this stuff. Are you with me, Bandits? :)))))))))

Here is the news:
Paul is actually wearing a baseball jersey with the word "MILK" on it. It might be the news footage from the Akron, Ohio show on July 19, 1983. That was the opening night of the North American tour and there was a lot of news coverage of it. And it´s the only show where the soundcheck was open to the press and there was an official press conference.
Someone saw Paul wearing a MILK T-shirt in the ´82 Japanese tour.

So maybe try to find the soundcheck?
