 | On January 11th 2009 Gospel singer Reverend Claude Jeter died, aged 94.
Jeter´s work was the inspiration for Bridge Over Troubled Water and he duetted with Paul Simon on Take Me To The Mardi Gras, singing the famous falsetto part.

 | Sad, but not sad living for 94 years. Many of Paul Simons important co-musicians and inspiration sources are gone now.
Nice to see that Toots Thielemans will do a concert next Sunday in Zaventem/Belgium at the age of 86. |

 | Concerts with 86 yo? Die with nineth-something? Yep.I do have to be a Paul Simon partner!Do you think I still have time enough to, considering I don´t play yet? |

 | Hm, maybe, but concentrate on Gospel or Jazz.
Elvis, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Brian Jones, Frank Zappa, Freddy Mercury, Buddy Holly and many others (see the game in the movie One-Trick Pony) shortened the average lifetime of Rock musicians a lot. |

 | Yeh I heard about this on the radio a few days back. It´s a shame, but he was a good age. I hadn´t realised he was as Old as that. |
