 | One-Trick Pony is easily obtainable from the US. There are 20 sellers in Amazon marketplace selling it here:
http://www.amazon.com/One-Trick-Pony-Paul-Simon/dp /6300268217/ref=cm_cr_dp_orig_subj
Buy it from the US then play it on an NTSC compatible VCR. These are still readily available in the UK.
Better still, use a VHS/DVD-R combo machine to make your own copy on DVD - something I plan to do with some of my Old VHS tapes when I get round to it! |

 | Good luck ! I tried to dub my VHS copy...it is copy protected !! So, my device refused to copy.
It is my only remaining VHS in my place.
Could someone post again the digital files for it please ? |

 | Mog,I´d be glad to send you a DVD of the movie. I have two ex-rental VHS tapes of fairly lousy quality, but I also have a pretty pristine copy of the film that I taped from a pay TV source here in Australia. It´s in Stereo, and the picture and colour are better than the genuine ex-rental copies. |

 | The movie One Trick Pony exists also in close to DVD quality. Transfered from a ´Laser Disc´ (LD) to DVD.
Somehow I like the movie - but it is nearly impossible to watch it with someone who is not a PS fan. It´s more like a concert-movie. 2-3 songs less wouldn´t have ruined it I guess.
BTW: In the German version of the movie, Paul got the voice of our David Hasselhoff sync speaker. Well, that gives the movie a very strange beach+girls+surfing feeling (at least for me). And his voice is more eh...masculine...macho like. Not too much. But the difference to his original voice is eminent. |

 | Why do you say that it is nearly impossible to watch with someone who is not a fan ?
I have not seen it in a long time, but I do remember a scene where the editing was clearly lacking. Simon is in a bath, holding a soap. The second after, the camera pov changes and we see Simon with his two arms on each border of the bath, with no soap !!
I accept your offer Ian ! Thanks. Yes, NTSC is the standard here. |

Too much music. And the story lacks of really a high peak. Sometimes it even get´s boring when they just drive around, stay somewhere...say nothing. And in the end, the film just fades out...and you think :What? Why now? Why not earlier, or later... |

 | I liked all of the music, and I liked the story very much. Of course, I am a huge fan. |

 | Hi Nikki,no problem with sending you a copy. If both you and Mog send your respective mailing details to my email address,I´ll get onto it asap. As I said,it will be recorded in the PAL format,as I an unable to do an NTSC conversion. Also,I found this ´One-Trick Pony´ era article from the ´People´ site about Paul last night. I apologise if you have read it previously,or if it is already to be found under ´Articles´ on this site. Here´s the link- http://www.people.com/people/archive/article/0,,20 077781,00.html |

 | That was a great article, far more life affirming that most articles about Paul. And he seems to have more friends than generally suggested. |
