 | Wondering if there is any more information about this?
http://www.projo.com/music/content/artsun-garfunke l_01-11-09_VOCT6RN_v13.1be2429.html
From the end of the article "As for his Old partner Paul Simon, Garfunkel says they get together for dinner occasionally and talk about working together. `We`re cooking up a little something ` I don`t want to talk about it specifically, but we are."

 | The only information we get is from Art. Paul never speaks about meeting Art in interviews. Doing something together again is what Art wants desperately and I´m afraid he will go on about it till Paul gives him what he wants. |

 | I would agree with you Ans. He even admits that he would prefer to be in perpetual 26 year Old mode.
What I would be more concerned about is the bit about having problems with the kids - I hope its only the usual teenage upsets and parental concerns. |

 | It seems that Artie enjoyed his concerts more than I did! Too many obscure songs for my liking, was very self-indulgent. Give the people what they want, Art, not what you like!! |

 | From what we can see and read on the internet I guess Art has bigger concerns about his son James than Paul about his kids. There were several video´s about James in Germany, his foolisch rich kid behaviour would concern me as a parent. |

 | I am more interested in Paul´s new solo work that he is working on, including the two new songs that are in the Lyrics book, than Art´s hope that Paul might work with him again. |

 | I too,am looking forward to hearing Paul´s new music. I´ve got the same level of anticipation that I had just prior to the release of ´Hearts And Bones´ in 1983. I can´t articulate the reasons why. It might be that, for the first time in a while, there is no particular influence or other project/people associated with the new music,as their was with Graceland,Saints,Capeman etc, just Paul, his guitar and his muse. Of course, all his albums are fantastic to my ears, but I feel this might be a return to a pre-Graceland style of writing. I could be WAY of the mark though:-) |

 | I´m looking forward to Paul´s new album too. As much as I like Art he always seems to want to jump back intime and do stuff with Paul again. Don´t get me wrong, I´d like to see them in concert, just the once. But not if it meens Paul´s not doing what he wants. Art body of work seems to be only, except one album, others work. Where as Paul´s is all his own and so takes longer to put together.
As for the "...we have grief with our kids.â? I think it´s probably more like Artie. When ever I see pics of James he comes across as being a bit of a arrogant celebrity brat who uses his fathers name. I may be wrong, but that´s how it seems.
Harper has spent a long time building up his own career. He was in an obscure group gaining valuable experience and I never seen anything where he comes across as being arrogant and stupid.
Adrian is also cutting his teeth in a small group. And, from what I can tell, writing the groups songs, himself.
You can put in Pauls kids names into google and find either very little or nothing about them. But stuff will pop up all over the place of James. Mostly at celebrity bashes posing for the camera. Something I´ve never seen Artie do. He does seem to think a lot of himself.
So I agree, I think it´s more Art that has the problems that Paul. Paul & Edie probably have the usual teen problems..lol |

 | According to objective information James is actually very famous compared to Harper: "At 16 years Old, James `Jâ? Garfunkel... began performing at 16 months when he appeared on stage with his famous father, and hasn`t stopped since. From London`s Palladium theater to the Sydney (Australia) Opera House, J. has performed in over 42 countries. He has appeared on numerous national TV shows, including Good Morning America, The Today Show, and has graced the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine. ... He is prepared, self-assured, and determined. He has already found his calling." BTW - don´t miss the pics at his My Space! |
