Hi everyone, I finally managed to register, after I met a few of you exactly a year ago (11/11/06) in Birmingham. Maybe someone remembers.

Just a little story I wanted to share about how Paul literally changed my life - well, sort of.

It´s a year and two days ago when I came to the UK for the first time in my life, just to see Paul. It was one of the best weekends in my life, especially because of the fantastic concert, but also because I really fell in Love with the country.
After that I came back as a tourist, and eventually decided to apply to uni here. So now I am a postgrad in St Andrews, which definitely wouldn´t have happened, hadn´t I come to the UK to see Paul! ;)

So, Paul doesn´t know, but he changed my life. Ore at least, I like the thought that he did!

Hi Silvia,

nice to see you here, that is an interesting story, where did you live before you moved to the UK? St. Amdrews is not very far from Edinburgh I believe, we visited Edinburgh last year after the concert from Paul in Glasgow, we liked both of the cities very much and the scottisch people also. Glasgow will always be special to me because I met Paul Simon personally there after the soundcheck and I had a great seat at his great concert.

By the way, there is a man in New York City, who also decided to go to England after "six terrible months in law school" to become a professional musician.

He succeeded, established himself as a well known Folk-Singer, recorded an album, radio was playing his songs, a TV-appearance and growing income from concerts.

Unfortunately, one of his best songs up to then was remixed and became No. 1 in the US...

This is quite funny because I also spent a terrible year in law school before coming here... In Munich though.

Yes St Andrews is about 1hr from Edinburgh, and it is lovely.
I was not as lucky as you, Ans, to meet Paul on the concert I saw. But I never even hoped that would happen, and I had great seats in Bhm too, so it was fantastic!

Hello Sylvia - I remember you from the Birmingham concert. You´re on one of my photos, which I think I emailed to you last year, didn´t I? My memory isn´t as good as it used to be!
