I also think sub-forums work well, I like the James Taylor forum layout, and than instead of the family (except Edie and Harper) more about Paul´s music friends.

yes that´s a great idea! i really like the setup of the forum on art´s website - i.e. lots of subforums. makes it easier to look for past threads, and discussions would be easier to follow.

I will think about that.
At the moment I am working on my new project http://www.quiz-game.net (it is just the quiz, but with many different games, not Paul Simon related)
But there is already a "music" quiz where you can find out how many musicians you know by their picture...

What different subforums should we create?
Maybe
NEWS (where the news articles will be included automatically as a new thread)
General Paul Simon
Family and band members
Newcommer questions
Off topic

I think the subforums you mention are good, we don´t need too many subforums because we can already add a lot on the site itself.

Maybe it´s a good idea to split the family and bandmembers into Paul´s musical family and Bandmembers/collaborations.

The newcomers questions is very good and I hope the french forum members will join the off topic subforum more often to keep it alive and funny...;-)

Ans, haven´t you take the idea of subforums from the AG forum? ;-)

Lol, AG an example for me...;-)

But no, most forums work with subforums, I also spend time on the forum of a Dutch singer Boudewijn de Groot and from time to time on the forum of James Taylor, I like the layout from JT´s forum...

I generally like the site as it is. Things could also be too complicated.

We are in a "Paul-Simon-less" time and I remember how many postings and news we got in the You`re the one and Surprise-time.

Discussions about the quality of music and feelings when hearing it are not my favourites.

It is like Picasso and Rembrandt, who is more important, or Uderzo (Asterix-creator).

In Germany they now voted Herbert Groenemeyer as best german-speaking musician of all time, Udo Jürgens as No. 2 and W.A. Mozart No. 3.

I think you know them all, not only one of them. Beethoven is also in the top ten as No 6 or 7, after Nena and Peter Maffay.

I agree with you Klausi, this site is very good. I was talking about the forum, maybe there is room for some changes. I think it´s nice to talk with the Paul Simon fans about other subjects and get to know each other a little bit better. The other language forums, except the French :) are hardly used.
Besides that I think it´s easier to use the forum when you don´t have to start a new thread for every subject.

I guess no. Maybe they sing in English mainly?

But I also don`t know how J.S. Bach was voted. He won a worldwide contest with many professional classical musicians asked who is their all-time-favourite.

So if Tokio Hotel is placed before Bach, your daughters can be proud of them...

And I think in ten years things have changed. Ten years come and gone so fast!
