 | At the moment I would say his last album Surprise, still so much to discover there, the changing of melody, the instruments, the different sounds, I still discover new meanings for the lyrics.
For a long time "Sure don´t feel like Love" was my favourite song together with "Another Galaxy" but these days I adore "Everything about it is a love song".
I´m sorry...:) your question is not easy to answer. |

 | Favorite Solo album is either Paul Simon or Graceland, with Rythem of the Saints in a close third.
My favorite overall is Bookends, though.
I would go
1. Bookends
2. Bridge
3. Graceland
4. Paul Simon
5. ROS |

 | My all time favorite is just now :) Surprise. I think this is incredibly creative. No one of us thought the new album would be such a great surprise.
My favorite texts are Another Galaxy and Once upon a time - together. One is about leaving home, the other is about returning. Both of them would be not the song without the other. I adore the guitar-theme coming back at the end of AG (oups, these letters stay here for Another Galaxy rather than a famous singer) and I adore the lights thruogh the glas at the and of the other song.
My previous favorite album was You are the One. Favorite song Darling Lorraine.
It seems PAul is doing better and better music. I am waiting for the next album. |

 | I am really into The Rhythm Of The Saints at the moment - amazing lyrical imagery laid upon some beautiful music. It´s like chocolate. |

 | Up until now it was Graceland, but I still can`t get Surprise out of my CD player. The music just swoops and dives and the lyrics demonstrate a whole new level of mastery, and yes, I keep finding new meanings.
Magical.

 | Songs too many to pick from. Albums, well in terms of the overall feel probably ROTS, YTO and Surprise - I really Love the density of the sound, and it´s all so unique. But then some of the simpler earlier stuff is equally good. The issue I have with his earlier albums is that I think on every single one pre-H&B (or maybe OTP) there´s a few really great songs but a few mediocre (or even really terrible) ones as well and that ruins it for me. But his later albums are more polished, I love all the tracks on them and I think that´s an amazing accomplishment for any artist, to be able to put out a perfect album. |

 | Your words MrBeerbelly are worthy of being a Paul Simon song in themselves:)
I Love all the albums since OTP (H&B will always be special) can´t really get into the ´70s albums though Still Crazy is my favourite song - I feel its my signiture tune. |

 | Still Crazy After All These Years, the title track and album are my favourites.
Because its Paul Simon connecting with his core audience.
Nostalgia, tinged with regret and frustration( My Little Town,I Do It For Your Love, Still Crazy).Defiance(Have A Good Time). An acceptance of things but a strong inner belief that they can get better(Gone at Last, Some Folks Lives).
Hearts And Bones and YTO are also brilliant in their own way, but for a clutch of sentimental reasons , its Still Crazy for me. |

 | I must say, I also find it very hard to choose. As I´ve said before, I (pretty much) Love all the songs. But my all-time favorite song is Graceland.
My all-time favorite albums are Songbook, Bookends, Rhymin´ Simon, Graceland, ROTS and YTO (I haven´t got the chance to listen to Surprise yet).
Fave compilations are 1964/1993, Old Friends (´97), On My Way, Don´t Know Where I´m Goin´ and - of course - The Essential Paul Simon (which I´ve only judged by track listing :P)
I totally agree with you Rosie, he has no "bad" albums at all :D but there are always some that we like better than the others... |
