 | I have a question that i would like all your input: If a new Paul Simon CD was released, and you could only get it (legally) by buying an exclusive (ans special) version not available to the public, how much would you pay for it? $40, $60, $100, $500?? Suppose this was the only way you could buy the record for 6 months before it was made available to the public.... |

 | Hm... for me this would mean I would tell you how rich or poor I am, which is a very personal question.
We even do not know how rich Paul Simon is and how much would he pay if his children were kidnapped... |

 | A CD compared to the lives of children, bit of an extreme one that Klausi.
Personally I would wait until the release six months later.

 | Sorry but i wasnt trying to find out how rich you were! not what i was asking! i read about how so many fewer people buy new music nowadays and worry that we get to the point where it is no longer worth it for a recrod company to pay Paul Simon and other artists we Love to make records anymore. It seems to me that if the true fans were willing to pay much closer to what the music is worth to them the economics would be different. personally, even if it was a big part of my personal fortune i would pay $100 for a new Paul Sin=mon record if that was what it cost |

 | MrBeerbelly, you are right. Let`s compromise.
If Paul Simon`s children were kidnapped we would not buy a new album -released just before- until the children are well and back again. |

 | I really don´t think anyone on this site should be talking about people kidnapping any other people.
Even though this is supposed to be a joke, I suspect that Paul Simon and his family, friends and his staff would be very upset (legitimately) to see this being discussed.

 | Me too.
I am quite sure Paul Simon would be amused about our "dark" humour.
