Paul Simon is undoubtly the most famous Simon in music.

Maybe writer Neil Simon is as popular.

In the second half of the seventies, when Paul practised The Sound of Silence and the name of his special should be "The Paul - Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon Special" as proposal from Chuck Grodin, he had to fight against Carly Simon. But she married James Taylor. It marked a loss of popularity for her (like Edie Brickells marriage?).

In the late 60`s, a John Simon had a few hits, long ago forgotten.

And there was Paul Simonon as member of the Clash.

Paul visited one of their concerts but had to leave "to protect my ears", as he stated in 1980.

Simon Le Bon is not a surname.

This guy´s not in music either, but David Steven Simon co-produced the "Fresh Prince in Bel-Air" series.

Don´t forget the late Paul Simon the politician and Paul Simon the curtain manufacturer.

Paul also had an uncle called Paul Simon who was a tailor who he found out about after writing the line "prior to this lifetime, I surely was a tailor" - spooky!

I actually think that was his grandpa - at least that´s what his father told him :)
Paul Simon (the grandfather), tailor from Vienna, who died when Louis was young, so Paul never got a chance to meet him. Nevertheless, our Paul was named after his grandfather...and he didn´t know that before he´d written Fakin´It and the famous line with the tailor...and that is really spooky :D

There is also an actor: Simon Paul
Not so famous I suppose, he played in "Brookside" 1982.

Yes i saw that and got the DVD, and watched it all - and not getting scared cos I was so intent on watching out for Paul Simon. Anyway I think it was relating to PS the politician who appeared on a news broadcast during the film.
