Just thought I´d let you all know about a new tribute band (working name: Simply Paul Simon) that´s up and running based in the South East of England. If anyone knows any decent venues local to them that may be suitable, let me know. Also, we´re still looking for a keyboard player (preferably one who can sing a bit) to complete the line up. Best wishes to all.

Good luck with your venture. Let us know if you get any gigs that people could go to.

Thanks Matthew - will keep you posted. Perhaps we should run a competition on this forum to see who can come up with the best name (Suggestions so far: You Can Call Me Paul Simon - good but too wordy, One Trick Phony - I Love this one, but too obscure for the more casual observer maybe? So far Simply Paul Simon seems the best compromise). Can anyone think of something better? Best wishes for now.

Bill, the Limelight Club in Crewe, Cheshire is a popular venue for acts like this http://www.crewe-limelight.co.uk/ We´ve seen a Paul Simon tribute band there earlier this year - I´m wondering if it´s the same one? They are 2 guys in a band called ´Table Nine´ http://www.myspace.com/t9music and they recently starting doing the PS tribute to see how people would like it.
