I attended the CHF dinner on May 30th. There was a huge turn out (1400) so a lot of money was raised. Bill Clinton received the Humanitarian Award. Marc Anthony performed and was introduced by Jennifer Lopez. Paul did not perform, but he did give a short speech(it was sweet and funny) and introduced J-Lo. There was a crush of photographers before the event taking picutres of and interviewing Marc and Jennifer. There was so much interest in them from the press that hardly anyone paid any attention to Bill Clinton.

I met many really nice people but did not meet Paul. He was gone before the
end of the performance by Marc-I assumed he took off to be with Edie on their 15th anniversary. I did meet the Redliner´s -what wonderful dedicated people they are), David Dinkins (former New York City mayor- he introduced Paul at the 1991 Central Park concert), and Jane Pauley (former NBC new anchor) and her husband Garry Trudeau( the cartoon strip "Doonesbury"). They were all very warm and gracious and took time to stop and talk with me and thank me from coming from Seattle (actually from Olympia- near Seattle) to support the event.

Many of the men wore tuxedos, but Paul did not. He looked VERY nice in a black suit, white shirt, and dark tie. What a cutie he is.I felt happy to be in the same room and breathing the same air- I felt like Cinderella at the ball.

Marc Anthony spoke about meeting Paul during the "Capeman" and how they have been friends since that time, and Jennifer spoke about becoming involved in CHF because of Marc´s involvement. She introduced Marc as "the most wonderful man I know".

It was quite an evening for me, and I felt like Cinderella at the ball. I felt happy to see Paul just being himself and not being a performer. I was thrilled to be in the same room breathing the same air with this man.

I didn´t meet Paul- just admired him from across a crowded room.

Thanks for your review, which song(s) did Marc Anthony perform? None of Paul I guess.

He did not do any songs I am familiar with. He did a great job,though. He had a lot of people (at least the younger people) up and dancing. I was sorry that Paul didn´t do something with him.

oh Nancy, it sounds like you had a wonderful time. And I´d be the same...well I was...lol! I was just a few feet from Paul at the concert and it was amazing. I could hardly believe I was there and THAT close.
